No rope, roots will do

Hello readers,

I know it has been ages since the last time I scribbled some words on this page. 

As a dressmaker, frankly stating that I am getting myself so busy, even I must say over-loaded.

I know, despite of everything, I must make a little time, if not least, available for this page. 

Anyway, to those who do my kind of activity surely know about the requirements to complete the sewing task.

Starting from choosing the fashion, sketching the alterations or modifications, drawing the pattern,  the cutting, the tacking till the stitching and hemming to the final touch. 

The first two tasks anybody can do that.

Now the third task, this has to be done by someone who has learned the theory as well as the practices. One reads the theory, alright and understood. In the practice, a certain kind of paper is needed to draw the design of the fashion that later to be cut and traced on the clothing material. Nowadays, the kind of paper that a dressmaker needs cost money, and sometimes is not available. So what must I do??? Simple! Since my husband buys newspapers, so I ask him not to discard the old editions so that I can use it as a substitute to the common dress-pattern paper like .......👇

It is indeed a good idea... no rope, roots will do. 😊

A mind in an obscure state - A scribble

See nothing,  all good looks bad. And the bad, worse than despicable. The feeling of having a head as hard as a stone. Hard to think. Fail to penetrate the dense gray almost solid cloud sitting in the mind. Stiff state of soul filled with nothing but anger. 

Unreasonable, irrational waves of thoughts swirling around like a merry-go-round. 

"Are you desperate?" a voice from within

"If you are desperate,  there is a way to end that " continues the voice.

In a decision box the soul is left. 

What next???

The life in time

We all go through stages in life. We were born, we grew up, we got married and started having children. Each stage accompanied by learning and experiencing. Learned good from bad, experienced joy and pain in the process. 

As new-borns it took a lot of time to learn to walk and talk. That is human. Unlike a colt, takes only a few hours to start running. But the colt can never talk like human.

Then came the stage of academic education, means attending a place called school. Another length of time to go through before we were ready to go free and independent, and find a means to sustain our existence. That is for human, as for the colt and the rest of them depend on the nature providence.

Now as we get into the next stage. The colt, grown as a horse has "mating season", but for human there is another more than ample time to find a compatible mate. For the horse, the season makes it happen like automatic, for the human complications are always meddling with the human senses. But when finally one seems to have found the most compatible according to his judgement through experience then the time comes to settle the affair.

The affair settled, another stage through a certain period of time comes. The arrival of a progeny. A new-born human. A cycle is completed to start another cycle, either in the same colour and nuance or modified or completely changed, depending on a certain unexplainable factor.

We may or may not be able to see how the cycle of life rolls, the mystery of it remains lingering among the uncertainty, which develops into infinite puzzle no mind can solve.

Autumn 2018 in London streets

This year of 2018 so far we have seen many styles from different fashion designer.
Now, as autumn is in the air, the fashion created or prepared before arrival of the season, are starting to be seen in the streets.  In this video we will see the fashion worn by people in the streets in London. Some are nice, some are contemporary and some are charmingly bizarre but chic. Colour combinations seem to brighten up the gray ambiance of autumn.

Another of Christian Dior

Christian Dior fashion collections are vast. All types of fashion the saloon has been producing. From ancient style to modern of today.

In this time fashion show Christian Dior is seemed to bringing back the 1930-40 fashion and it looks incredibly charming, either for the ladies or the gentlemen.

Astonishing as they are, those gowns, I may personally consider to copy one for myself.

In that video the style are attractively contemporary,  at least according to me. Styles that i can say will always come back. Amazing expensive beautiful materials which I am sure worth the price.

Winter fashion in Mauritius

It is the month of May, third week and the water that flows through the water tap is beginning to become icy cold. The wind outside the house is blowing cold and strong. Down in Ushuai'a in American continent it is autumn. When I say that in my place in May blows the cold wind of winter, people look at me, that makes me explain that this place is in the southern hemisphere of the globe where seasons and climate go the contrary to Europe and America. Whenever you video call your friend in America you will see them wearing light clothing, even go bare chest, while you will be seen all bundled up on layers. Everything will look contrary, from food and drinks till clothes.

Speaking about cloths or fashion that this place have in store for this winter, though the winter here is more like autumn and constant till the following spring,  you may see long pants and pantalon and leggings are out, paired with long sleeves shirts and blouses of a bit thicker materials and longer dresses. You may also see some sweaters worn on  the higher part of the island. like Curepipe and High Plateau. Mauritius is said to be a rainbow island, so that goes also for the color of the fashion. Never omit the rainbow color.

This island, so small as she is, she never wants to lag behind in fashion, especially fashion for the young next generation.
